Workiva connector
Workiva connector is a Databricks data engineering capability, introduced August 2026.
A managed Lakeflow Connect connector that ingests audit activity, users and roles from a Workiva organization into Databricks.
- Only one table is incremental: activities streams in as it changes, while users and roles are re-read as full snapshots every time.
- It is a compliance tool feeding a compliance trail - what it pulls from Workiva is audit activity, plus who the users are and what roles they hold.
- Rename a column and there is no clever handling - the docs simply say it requires a full refresh.
Limitations: Beta, opted into from the Previews page. Incremental ingestion for the activities table only. No API-based column selection or row filtering, no SCD Type 2, no schema evolution for data type changes, and column renames require a full refresh. Workiva OAuth2 client credentials are the only supported authentication.
