Akamai WAF connector
Akamai WAF connector is a Databricks data engineering capability, introduced September 2026.
A managed Lakeflow Connect connector that ingests web application firewall (WAF) security events from the Akamai SIEM API into Databricks.
- It reads from Akamai's Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) API, so your firewall's blocked attacks end up as rows in a lakehouse.
- Signing in takes four secrets via Akamai EdgeGrid: client host, client token, client secret and access token.
- A renamed column is not tracked as a rename - it shows up as a new column next to a deleted one.
Limitations: EdgeGrid authentication only, API-only pipeline authoring (no UI), no API-based row filtering, no SCD Type 2, and no data type changes in schema evolution; renames arrive as a new column plus a deleted one.
