Anthropic connector

Anthropic connector is a Databricks data engineering capability, introduced July 2026.

A managed Lakeflow Connect connector that ingests Anthropic Compliance API data - audit activity, organizations, users, roles, groups, settings, and Claude chats and messages - into Databricks.

• Your Claude conversations become tables: chats and messages land in Databricks next to audit activity, users, roles and groups. 🔗
• SCD Type 2 is off the table because several of its tables carry VARIANT columns, which SCD Type 2 does not support. 🔗
• The key it needs is not an ordinary API key but an Anthropic Compliance Access Key. 🔗

⚠ Limitations: Compliance Access Key authentication only; no SCD Type 2 (VARIANT columns), no API-based row filtering, no data type changes in schema evolution, a column rename requires a full refresh, and directory tables are full snapshots every update. 🔗
