Workday HCM connector
Workday HCM connector is a Databricks data engineering capability, introduced March 2026.
A managed Lakeflow Connect connector that ingests data from standard Workday Human Capital Management modules - workers, positions, payroll and talent records - into Databricks.
- Workday got two connectors that split the territory: this one takes the standard HCM modules, and anything from a custom report goes to the Workday Reports connector instead.
- Incremental ingestion comes with an asterisk printed right in the table - supported for selected tables only.
- Its job description is the whole HR file: workers, positions, payroll and talent records.
Limitations: Beta. Incremental ingestion for selected tables only. No SCD type 2, no API-based column selection or row filtering, and no automated schema evolution at all (new or deleted columns, data type changes, column renames, new tables). OAuth with a manual refresh token is the only supported authentication.
