Workday Activity Logging connector

Workday Activity Logging connector is a Databricks data engineering capability, introduced September 2026.

A managed Lakeflow Connect connector that incrementally ingests Workday user activity log events into Databricks.

  • Before the first log line arrives, an admin has to build four things in Workday: an integration system user, a security group, an OAuth client and a refresh token.
  • It is the audit trail of who did what in Workday, and it authenticates exactly one way - an OAuth refresh token; U2M, M2M and username/password are all marked not supported.
  • Rename a column and the connector does not notice a rename - it records a brand-new column and a deleted one.

Limitations: Beta, enabled by a workspace admin from the Previews page. No UI-based pipeline authoring (API, notebook or Declarative Automation Bundles only), no API-based row filtering, no SCD Type 2, and no schema evolution for data type changes. OAuth refresh token is the only supported authentication.
