Veeva Vault connector
Veeva Vault connector is a Databricks data engineering capability, introduced July 2026.
The managed Lakeflow Connect connector that uses Veeva's Direct Data API to ingest Vault standard objects, custom objects, system tables and audit trail tables into Databricks.
- Scheduling it more often than every 15 minutes buys nothing: Veeva only produces a new incremental archive every 15 minutes.
- Take a long holiday and pay for it: Veeva keeps incremental archives for 10 days, so a pipeline that falls further behind needs a full refresh.
- A full refresh takes two runs - the first only clears the staged archive state, the second actually reloads the data.
Limitations: Authentication is OAuth 2.0 M2M via Microsoft Entra ID only. New data appears at most every 15 minutes, a pipeline more than 10 days behind needs a full refresh, a full refresh spans two updates, id fields are always STRING, and only a fixed set of __sys tables is ingested.
