Strac connector

Strac connector is a Databricks data engineering capability, introduced July 2026.

The managed Lakeflow Connect connector that ingests data-security audit events from Strac into Databricks, authenticating with a Strac API key.

• Getting a key is old-school: Strac has no self-serve API key console, so you email hello@strac.io and wait. 🔗
• The whole connector is one table - audit_events - and nothing else from Strac comes along. 🔗
• Keys announce their mode in the prefix (sk_test_ or sk_live_), and plain HTTP is refused outright. 🔗

⚠ Limitations: A single source table, audit_events. No SCD type 2 because audit events are append-only. Without a start datetime it backfills the last 365 days. Column renames or data type changes need a full refresh. 🔗
