Square connector
Square connector is a Databricks data engineering capability, introduced June 2026.
The managed Lakeflow Connect connector that ingests Square point-of-sale data - payments, orders, customers, catalog items and inventory - into Databricks with a Square access token.
- No Square subscription tier is required, because the Square APIs are free for developers to use.
- It offers 17 prebuilt tables, and nine of them - including customers, inventory, loyalty and cash_drawers - are re-read in full on every run.
- Unless told otherwise, the first sync reaches back exactly one year: start_datetime defaults to 365 days before the first sync.
Limitations: Only the 17 prebuilt tables (no other objects, custom attributes or reports). The locations, customers, team_member_wages, bank_accounts, shifts, team_members, inventory, loyalty and cash_drawers tables are re-ingested in full every run. Column renames or data type changes need a full refresh.
