Shopify connector

Shopify connector is a Databricks data engineering capability, introduced September 2026.

The managed Lakeflow Connect connector that ingests Shopify e-commerce data - products, orders, customers, inventory, fulfillments and discounts - into Databricks, using the Shopify OAuth client credentials grant.

  • Your order history has a 60-day horizon unless Shopify approves the read_all_orders scope for your app - without it, older orders simply never arrive.
  • It notices the things you throw away too, capturing deletions of products, variants, collections, articles, pages, blogs and draft orders.
  • The menu is fixed at 39 prebuilt tables - no custom metafields and no Shopify reports.

Limitations: Only the 39 prebuilt tables (no other objects, custom metafields or reports). The locations, shop, collects, disputes, countries, collection_product and inventory_level tables are re-ingested in full every run. Tables with VARIANT columns don't support SCD type 2, and column renames or data type changes need a full refresh.
