ServiceNow connector
ServiceNow connector is a Databricks data engineering capability, introduced March 2025.
The managed Lakeflow Connect connector that incrementally ingests ServiceNow tables into Databricks, with SCD type 2, row filtering and up to 250 tables per pipeline.
- A single dollar sign is a dealbreaker: if a table or any of its column names contains a $, the connector cannot ingest that table.
- Machine-to-machine OAuth needs a ServiceNow instance on the Washington DC release or later, and ServiceNow ships with the client credentials grant switched off.
- Delete a record and then restore it in ServiceNow, and the connector will not bring it back.
Limitations: Only tables with a sys_id column can be ingested, and incremental ingestion needs sys_updated_on, sys_created_on or sys_archived (otherwise the table is snapshotted and overwritten). At most 250 tables per pipeline, no tables or columns with a $ in the name, and restored records are not reingested.
