SendGrid connector

SendGrid connector is a Databricks data engineering capability, introduced August 2026.

The managed Lakeflow Connect connector that ingests SendGrid subusers, IP access activity, suppression lists, unsubscribe groups, Marketing Campaigns data and email templates into Databricks.

  • SendGrid hands over only the 20 most recent access attempts per account and keeps the rest to itself, so access history beyond that is a downstream accumulate-and-dedupe job.
  • Bounces, spam reports, blocks and other suppression tables have no primary key, because SendGrid gives suppression entries none - expect rows that look duplicated.
  • It authenticates with a SendGrid parent-account API key and works against both the global and the EU data-residency endpoints.

Limitations: No incremental ingestion - every table is a full snapshot on each sync, and SCD type 2 is not supported. Access-attempt tables return at most the latest 20 entries, suppression tables have no primary key and can show duplicate-looking rows, and data type changes or column renames need a full refresh.
