Jira connector

Jira connector is a Databricks data engineering capability, introduced December 2025.

The managed Lakeflow Connect connector that ingests Jira issues, comments, attachment metadata and related tables from Jira Cloud or on-premises into Databricks.

  • However many projects you have, everything lands in the same 27 tables.
  • Delete an issue and restore it later, and the connector will not bring it back.
  • On-premises Jira works too, as long as it is version 8.22.x or later.

Limitations: Deleted issues stay in the destination unless use_audit_logs is on, which needs a paid Jira plan and a global admin connection user; comment and worklog deletes need a full refresh, and restored issues are not reingested. Only some tables sync incrementally, project filtering needs exact project keys, and some tables use internal Jira IDs that need joins.
