New feature Beta

Google Workspace connector

Google Workspace connector is a Databricks data engineering capability, introduced October 2026.

The managed Lakeflow Connect connector that ingests audit activity from Google Workspace applications and services into Databricks.

  • Google keeps activity logs for 180 days, and the first sync politely backfills 179 of them.
  • Each Workspace app reports on its own lag, and the Takeout process finished event can trail by up to several days.
  • It reads only the Admin SDK Reports API - the audit trail, not your Docs or Gmail.

Limitations: Beta behind a workspace preview. Ingests only audit activity from the Admin SDK Reports API, with no SCD type 2 (records have VARIANT columns and are append-only). Events older than the 180-day Google retention window cannot be ingested, and very large Takeout exports finishing beyond the per-application lookback may be missed.
