Google Analytics Raw Data connector
Google Analytics Raw Data connector is a Databricks data engineering capability, introduced April 2025.
The managed Lakeflow Connect connector that ingests raw, event-level Google Analytics 4 data into Databricks through the GA4 BigQuery export.
- It never talks to Google Analytics directly: you export GA4 to BigQuery first, and the connector reads the export.
- Name your own BigQuery tables events-anything and the connector will mistake them for GA4 event tables, which can fail the pipeline.
- Universal Analytics is not invited - only GA4 properties, and only one per pipeline.
Limitations: One GA4 property per pipeline, no Universal Analytics, and GA4 updates and deletes are not ingested. BigQuery date-partitioned tables over 150 GB are not reliably ingested, history is limited to what GA4 exports to BigQuery, and events_intraday data is not guaranteed to be retained. OAuth connections fetch in a single Spark task; only service account JSON (API-only) fetches in parallel.
