Databricks' built-in scheduler and orchestrator for running notebooks, Spark applications and later multi-task DAGs as production jobs.

• Its headline trick in 2015 was running a notebook as a scheduled production job, so the scratchpad you explored in became the pipeline you shipped. 🔗
• It launched already in production - the announcement admitted several early-adopter customers were running it before its first official release. 🔗
• It took until July 2021 for a single job to run more than one task, via a directed acyclic graph of task dependencies. 🔗
