Community connectors

Community connectors is a Databricks data engineering capability, introduced May 2026.

Open-source Lakeflow Connect connectors, built and maintained by the community, that ingest from sources without a managed connector into Lakeflow pipelines.

• Pick one and Databricks literally clones the connector's source code from GitHub into a folder in your workspace, and the pipeline runs that code. 🔗
• Under the hood each one is a LakeflowConnect interface wrapped around the Spark Python Data Source API. 🔗

⚠ Limitations: Databricks does not maintain them, they are not backed by Databricks SLAs or forward-compatibility guarantees, and their interfaces and behavior are still subject to change. 🔗
