SnowSQL is legacy, replaced by Snowflake CLI (legacy since 2026).

Snowflake's command-line SQL client, used to run queries and every DDL and DML operation including loading data into and unloading it out of tables.

• Legacy does not mean unplugged - Snowflake still supports SnowSQL 1.5.x through April 16, 2028, a long goodbye for a client it already calls legacy. 🔗
• It still ships releases, just nothing new in them - Snowflake says features and enhancements now go only to its replacement. 🔗
