A set of Python tools for building, deploying and evaluating production-quality RAG and agentic applications on Databricks, with MLflow integration and the databricks.agents SDK.
- Its own launch blog has been retitled in place to a name that did not exist in 2024, while the body underneath still says Agent Framework thirteen times.
- The SDK never got the memo. The Python package that implements it still documents itself as the Databricks Agent Framework long after the docs stopped using the words.
- It reached general availability in March 2025 with a release note whose link now points at a URL containing a different product name.
