Discover is a Databricks data governance capability, introduced February 2026.

A centralized Unity Catalog interface for searching, browsing, and previewing governed data assets, organized into business domains.

• It's an internal data-marketplace front door to Unity Catalog: search, browse, and preview governed assets grouped into business domains, so consumers find data without spelunking the catalog tree. 🔗
• It entered Beta on February 18, 2026. 🔗

⚠ Limitations: Subdomains support only one level of nesting and must be created from a workspace-level Manage Discover page (no account-level subdomain management yet). Per-account domain and subdomain counts, and the number of tags you can apply, are capped (see Resource limits). 🔗
